Callie Crofts and Robert Gillies
CALLIE CROFTS

From whimsical acoustic folk to edgy alternative rock, Callie Crofts has made her mark as an
independent singer and songwriter. Born in the small town of Firth, Idaho, Crofts took to
songwriting at the age of 12, writing a song on the first day she made an attempt at playing the
guitar.

"As soon as I learned a few chords, I felt the urge to create something new. That first song
flowed out with ease and comfort, and I knew it was my purpose the moment it happened." Says Crofts of her musical beginnings.

Now, almost six years after the release of her folky debut album 'Zen Garden' which launched
her into an independent career with an eager global audience, Crofts is preparing to release a
new solo EP entitled 'Reassembled'.

"It really does feel like I'm picking up the pieces after a whirlwind of chaotic change and
assembling a new and improved version of me. My audience has witnessed an immense
transformation, and I'd like to assure them that it is nothing to be feared" she says of the
inspiration behind the new EP.

"Transformation" is absolutely a fitting word to describe her discography. Crofts' work over the span of her career boasts a scope and variety that few indie artists can claim. Since her solo debut, Crofts has gained viral popularity with inspiring pop singles 'October' and 'Electric Stars and Satellites', shocked fans by starting and releasing two full-length albums with dark edgy rock band 'My Fair Fiend', and even reached top-ten positions on Billboard Charts with a family Christmas album entitled 'Sparrow in the Birch' which she produced, arranged, and wrote original songs for.

At the dawn of her second solo album release, it is clear that the world will see much more of
this vibrantly diverse artist and performer. It's just unclear exactly WHAT they will see from her
next.

"Reassembled" will be released on January 26th, and will be available on all digital platforms.

ROBERT GILLIES

From performing at winter markets in small-town Scotland to opening for artists like A Great Big World and Andy Grammer in the rush of California, Robert Gillies has come a long way to be where he is. After moving to the US in 2008 to study at Berklee College of Music, alongside
classmates Betty Who and Karmin, Gillies made the move out to California to be closer to the
scene he'd admired from afar for so many years.

With 2011's critically acclaimed 'Astronaut' and his equally well-received follow-up 'The
Distance' in 2014, he firmly planted himself in the acoustic singer-songwriter realm, performing countless house concerts and mini tours across the US, but it was in that time that he realized that he wanted to do something a little different.

"I always loved writing relaxed songs and I made that my thing for a while - I feel like it reflected where I was in my own life, the way I saw myself, especially when it came to how introverted I can be. When I started supporting more with pop acts I realized that there was a part of me that wanted out, that I'd been holding back, and I wanted to feel free to explore that and see where it took me."

And that's where 2015's 'The Summer EP' comes in. Gillies' playful lyrical style shines through
on every song and you can hear a new confidence in life in his vocal performances in the
soaring choruses of 'Drop The Worry' and 'Hollywood's A Vampire'.

"Learning to let go of my fears was a huge part of writing this EP. I don't play it off on stage, but I have a lot of insecurities, be they physical or emotional, and I realized that they were holding me back, that I had more to give. Letting go of my fears, hitting new notes - it felt like I was finally able to breathe, and I hope that the energy and relief I felt in making these songs can help others feel the same freedom."
