VSAA Alumni Reunion Weekend
VSAA's first annual alumni reunion is kicking off it's first year with three fabulous events across the weekend of 9/10-11/16. Come to one, come to all of them; we'd love to see what you've been up to since you left 3101 Main Street. All ticket proceeds go to the Micaela Pewo Alumni Memorial Scholarship, a fund for alumni to support VSAA seniors who embody Micaela's values of community stewardship and outstanding artistic merit.
9/10, noon: Class of '96 and '06 Reunion Potluck and Tour. FREE
Members of the classes of '96 and '06 are invited to bring a potluck item to share in honor of their 20th and 10th reunion year. Come hang out, chat, confess to unsolved high school mysteries and go on a tour of some of the neat infrastructure changes VSAA has undergone in the last few years with a surprise tourguide group of VSAA teachers past and present (we're taking request! Email with who you'd like to see!)
9/10, 6:00-9:00pm VSAA Alumni Performance Benefit. $15
We're bringing all years of VSAA alumni, staff and teachers together for an evening of celebrating our school's legacy, raising money for current students, and outstanding performances from VSAA alumni. 9/10, 9:30- Afterparty at the Brickhouse, $5 suggested cover
The Shivas (Classes of '09 and '08) are going to be rocking the floorboards after the benefit. This a great occasion to see what your classmates look like not stone cold sober, and for you to put your old dance tights to good use. Come and honor Tresvan with your best get-down.
9/11 11:30- Core Project For Grown-Ups $10
We've all graduated past Red/Blue/Yellow/Green team. Now welcome to Gold Team. Show up at 11:30 with the supplies you want to create with, and be sorted into teams by a few guest star VSAA teachers. We'll announce the prompt, you'll have two hours to slam a collaboration together, and present! Of course, it wouldn't be a core project without some plot twists and complications. Part LARP, part game, part massive performance art experience, all fun nostalgia. Don't procrastinate!
