CARI AMICI CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES ALAMEDA STRING ACADEMY @ C'ERA UNA VOLTA
This year, the Alameda String Academy is launching the Cari Amici Chamber Music Series. "Cari Amici" means 'dear friends' in Italian, and perfectly describes the intimate setting of the concerts.
DINNER & A CONCERT
The Cari Amici Chamber Music Series is a whole new series of dinner-concerts presented in partnership with Park Street Italian restaurant, C'era Una Volta, which is a long-time hub of live music in Alameda. "We are so excited to be presenting Alameda String Academy," says C'era Una Volta co-owner Cheryl Principato. "We couldn't pass up on this opportunity to bring these performances to Alamedans."
The concerts begin with dinner seating at 5pm and the concert will follow.
SALON MUSIC - SUNDAY MAY 15
For the final Cari Amici Chamber Music Concert on May 15, 2016, ASA celebrates a new collaboration between ASA and the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival (TACMF), which brings chamber music performances to communities all over Northern California.
In this Salon Music concert, ASA and TACMF have jointly commissioned a new work by San Francisco-based composer, Danny Clay, which is intended as a complement to Antonín Dvořák's well-loved Bagatelles, Op. 47, for harmonium, two violins, and cello, also to be on the program.
Pianist and TACMF Director, Ian Scarfe, will join as the guest artist on harmonium.
