Austin Symphonic Band: Musical Portraits Concert
*Make it home in time for the Super Bowl! This program is just under an hour in total*
The highlight of this program, and a preamble to Black History Month, will be the classic Lincoln Portrait by Aaron Copland, narrated by local performing artist Tim O'Brien. Selections from The Sound of Music will celebrate the 50th anniversary of that legendary Broadway musical and motion picture. Remaining selections create vivid musical portraits of people and places that will stir the audience's musical imagination.
Richard Floyd conducts.
