World Beats Music Club for Children Ages 6+
The course is designed for young music lovers (ages 6-12) to enjoy weekly opportunities to sing, move, play and create together in a small, mixed-age group setting. Participants will sing in several languages, and explore rhythms on a variety of hand percussion including djembe, bongos, djun djun, shekere, güiro, claves, tambourine and more!
All sessions integrate vocal music, hand percussion and movement. In addition to group activities facilitated by a certified music educator, time is allowed for independent and semi-independent exploration on keyboards, mallet percussion, drum set, strings. Diverse repertoire will include music from North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
