Feb. 27, 2016 ~ safeTALK: Suicide Prevention Program
In the alternative communites many of us call home, from Queer clubs to Leather conventions, there are many subjects we can discuss that can't be talked about anywhere else. However, one subject remains taboo: Suicide. Many of us have experienced the frustration of either being unable to respond to our loved ones in a way that they'd find reassuring while remaining honest or of being unable to find the right words to help talk a loved one off an emotional ledge.
That's why QUEST Leather, Three Rivers Leather Club, and our current Mr & Ms. Pittsburgh Leather Fetish want to help, because we've been there too!
So we're bringing boy Tom (Facebook: Tom Buckley) and the safeTALK Training Class to Pittsburgh!!
What is safeTALK?
Its a class designed to give people the tools to recognize and help loved ones who are contemplating suicide.
