Writing on the Wall presents a selection of more than 100 previously unpublished essays spanning the entire operiod of Mumia Abu-Jamal's incarceration that crystallize his essential perspectives on community, politics, protest, history, social change and movement organizing in the U.S. ands internationally. From discussions of Rosa Parks and Trayvon Martin, to Martin Luther King and Edward Snowden, Abu-Jamal articulates lucid, humorous, and often prescient insight into the past, present and future of American politics and society.

Presenting Mumia's thoughts and feelings will be Angela Davis, Johann Fernandez, and Walter Turner.
Johanna Fernández, the editor of Writing on the Wall, is a former Fulbright Scholar to Jordan.
Currently Assistant Professor of History at City University of New York, she is the writer and producer of the film Justice on Trial: The Case for Mumia Abu-Jamal.
Professor Walter Turner, College of Marin Social Sciences Professor, is also host and producer of the weekly Pacifica Radio program Africa Today, airing Monday evenings on KPFA Radio 94.1FM.
