Winter Pruning of Pome Fruit Trees
Review the goals and techniques of pruning pome fruit trees (apples, pears, etc.) in this lecture and demonstration workshop. Get some hands-on pointers on how to prune your fruit trees to maximize health and production. Information on tools, timing, techniques, and more, with Orin Martin and Sky DeMuro of the Alan Chadwick Garden. This workshop takes place January 30 at the UCSC Farm on the UC Santa Cruz campus.
Dress for the outdoors and bring a snack. THIS WORKSHOP TAKES PLACE RAIN OR SHINE.
Online registration costs: $30 for general public, $20 for Friends of the Farm & Garden members, $15 limited income, $5 for current UCSC students. Or pay at the door (cash or check only): $40 for general public, $30 for Friends of the Farm & Garden members, $20 limited income, $5 for current UCSC students.
