Hafla for Hope
David Duncan, an Evansville native and founder of Project HOPE has spent the last five years of his life giving relief and love to the people of the war-torn Middle East. During his last trip, David was able to take $20,000 to help displaced refugees with food and medical expenses as well as spend time educating the children- giving them some hope of stability in the future. He is returning to Syria in December of 2015, and the need for relief has never been greater.
Toast will host the Hafla for Hope on November 29 from 5-10pm to generate funds for Project HOPE in David's upcoming trip. During this event, guests will enjoy Middle Eastern food, drinks, music, dance, hookah sacraments, and henna tattooing. These are traditional celebratory acts that have been stripped from the refugees along with their family members, homes, food, medical treatment, personal belongings, and sense of security.
Please join us to support this amazing cause and to give hope to the refugees of war through showing human compassion and kindness through David Duncan's efforts.
Tickets are $20 per guest and all profits go to Project Hope. David gives 100% of funds raised directly to the people he helps. His personal expenses are already taken care of.
