Dore Dance Co, founded by Stephanie Golden is a small dance company based in San Francisco. We are a nonprofit (501c3) with a big vision. Our mission is to provide dancers with comprehensive artistic education that fosters excellence in Contemporary-Modern dance in a manner that embraces creativity and passion for the arts. Our Company strives to instill in its dancers an enthusiasm for and desire to have a positive influence within their community.
Not only do we want our dancers to grow by experiencing choreographic challenges, showcases, learning how to teach in schools, etc. We want to share the passion and creativity within dance. One part of our company is our dance education workshops. This includes guest artist from the industry (So You Think You Can Dance) and more. We teach performance classes, technique, hip hop foundations, as well as a dance education class.
The dance education classes vary from every studio and community we come to. In the past we have had classes that discussed; auditions (audition prep and tips), elements of music, improvisation (breaking the way you move) and recently a class about teaching in the studio environment (how to improve, change or develop the studio way of teaching).
Eventually, Dore Dance Company will be a touring dance company from the U.S to international. The company will perform; however we will stay in that city for about 2 weeks. Teaching, growing, learning with students in studios, schools, communities and more. Sharing our way of teaching and dance education through our love for dance.
