Widowed and down on his luck, Nate Dayan (Pryce) is desperate to save his London bake shop.  His customers are dying off, his sons have no interest in keeping the family business afloat, and hostile businessman Sam Cotton (London Film Critics' Circle winner Philip Davis) has his own greedy plans for the property. Desperate for help, Nat reluctantly enlists the help of teenager Ayyash (Jerome Holder), a refugee from Darfur.  The Muslim boy assists with the bakery's daily chores, while selling cannabis on the side to help his struggling mother make ends meet.  When Ayyash accidently drops his stash into the dough one day, the challah starts flying off the shelf, and an unlikely friendship forms between the old Jewish baker and his young Muslim apprentice.

Directed by John Goldschmidt, DOUGH is a warmhearted and gently humorous story about overcoming prejudice and finding redemption in unexpected places.

Join us on Opening Night as we pay tribute to the amazing Ralph Senensky, producer, director and blogger extraordinaire.

Ralph's career in TV and film has spanned over 50 years and includes episodes of Star Trek, Twilight Zone, The Fugitive, and The Waltons to name but a few.

Ralph, a member of CBI, blogs about his experiences using film clips at http://senensky.com/  Get ready to be impressed!

Ralph Senensky was born in Mason City, Iowa, the town that spawned the River City of another Mason Cityan's (Meredith Willson) THE MUSIC MAN. After serving 34 months in the armed services during World War II, he attended and graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse School of the Theatre, followed by 6 months graduate study at Northwestern University. The next 6 years were spent directing Community Theatre (this was way before the days of Regional Theatre) in the midwest and professional stock in Florida. He returned to the west coast in 1954 where he continued his theatre directing in the off-Vine Street theatres of Hollywood while he was employed at CBS, starting as a typist in the radio mimeograph department and then serving as Production Supervisor on PLAYHOUSE 90 and Assistant Producer on a daytime soap opera, FULL CIRCLE. In 1961 he moved to MGM where he served as Assistant to the Producer on the debuting series, DR. KILDARE. Later that year he directed his first television film, an episode of DR. KILDARE. That was the beginning of his 26-years of film directing, which  included episodes of STAR TREK, TWILIGHT ZONE, THE WALTONS, THE FUGITIVE, ROUTE 66, NAKED CITY, THE FBI, TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH, THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER, THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY, HART TO HART, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, PAPER CHASE, THE WILD WILD WEST and DYNASTY, plus several made-for- television movies. He moved to Carmel in 1992, where for the last six and a half years on his website, RALPH'S CINEMA TREK: A Journey in Film at http://senensky.com/ he has written in detail (with film clips) of most of the 200 television films he has directed.

Opening night reception at 6:30 p.m. includes food and wine.
