Lighthouse Trolley Tour
Take a classic trolley back in time to the historic Point San Luis Lighthouse in Avila Beach, California. The Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers welcome you to join our docent-led interpretive tour to experience a rich history on the grounds, in the beautifully restored Lighthouse, the Hornhouse, and other structures. We will give you a glimpse into the lives of Lighthouse Keepers and their families while helping keep our jewel of the Central Coast preserved and protected. The historic Light Station Park, built in 1890, enjoys dramatic vistas of the Pacific!
The parking lot for the trolley is at the entrance to "Wild Cherry Canyon," across from Port San Luis Beach/Dog Beach. Take Avila Beach Drive and continue past the town of Avila Beach and over the bridge towards Port San Luis Harbor and Harford Pier. Wild Cherry Canyon is about mile after the bridge. Look for the "Tour Parking" banner at the parking lot entrance. If you are using GPS or Google Maps enter "Avila Beach CA" or "Port San Luis".
