CropMobster Supperclub @ Valley Ford | Tuesday Dec.15th 6pm
Join CropMobster for Supperclub #2 as we take over the small town of Valley Ford, CA for a premier dining discovery and "positive impact crawl" at Rocker Oysterfeller's and Estero Cafe.
Our team of collaborating chefs, speakers and local food leaders will transform under-appreciated, little-known and premium local farm products into a delicious multi-course dining experience, all the while featuring and benefiting select local food leaders such as Farmer Steve Conwell, Slow Food Russian River and Sonoma County Grange Credit Union and a host of others.
WHAT'S FOR DINNER? The menu is a completely delicious surprise however we will release hints and details as we progress towards Supperclub #2! (NOTE: See below for list of contributors and products gathered so far)
What we know is that CropMobster Supperclub @ Valley Ford will start at Estero Cafe, owned and operated by Samantha and Ryan Ramey. This couple has built the entire promise of their small business around the local food movement and have partnered with fig farmer and waste prevention guru Steve Conwell to make sure all of their food scraps find a hungry home. Samantha and Ryan will treat us to multiple initial courses featuring Montgomery Ferguson Farms and other local farm products crafted into memorable, one-of-a-kind dishes.
After this initial phase we will make the BIG HIKE across town (approximately 500 feet) to Rocker Oysterfeller's owned and operated by Shona Cambell and Brandon Guenther. Here we'll continue to feast in honor of local farmers and chefs who go the extra mile to bring meaningful, quality food to your plate. Farmer Steve also works with Rockers', thus closing the loop and helping reduce waste for an entire town!
This dining experience will raise awareness and support for CropMobster, Farmer Steve, Slow Food Russian River and Sonoma County Grange Credit Union - each of which delivers crucial services and impact to our community.
SPECIAL GUESTS, SPEAKERS & BENEFICIARIES INCLUDE:
MONTGOMERY FERGUSON FARMS
Steve Conwell of Montgomery Ferguson Farms is a true local food hero. On an annual basis, Steve and his crew of heritage pigs convert over 1/2 million pounds of premium local food scraps from grocers, distilleries and restaurants into delicious, premium pork products. Talk about impact!!! This results in a solid business for Steve and family while helping re-route premium food scraps into value, not the landfill.
