Ember + Ice
Born by the ocean and raised in the foothills, Alina Hardin has dwelled in the grey of the Northwest and the arid heat of the South.  She has traveled Europe, settled for a year in Paris, driven across the varying states of the US, and dipped down to Peru and Ecuador.  Through it all, she has been inspired by the diverse food and culture she has come across.  Alina currently lives in Los Angeles where she works as a chef catering for large productions and private parties.

Ms. Alina Hardin is a quintuple threat.  She is a cook, a singer, a jeweler, a writer, and a visual artist... Join us for her take on two very different cuisines from two very different parts of the earth.  The nordic region of Iceland on one end (where so much flavor is determined by preservation methods used such as pickling in fermented whey or brine, drying, and smoking) and Persian flavors on the other end (where a much greater variety of fresh fruits and spices were available to add richness and warmth).

These particular nights, she will be donning her chef's hat to feed her beloved Nevada City.  Paladar Members may look forward to the winter magic in every moment on this really special weekend.

We are honored to have the legendary IZZI TOOINSKY join us at each seating with tales weaving together this winter theme.
