"In the beginning, in the very beginning... there was nothing. Nothing in particular, a formless thing becoming a real contour, a mere mass of thoughts and fantasies. Everything needs a scaffolding, a frame that holds us together This is a sacred place, a place where all beings are equal.(In Czech with English subtitles.)
IN THE DREAMS OF OTHERS (SCR/DIR Jennida Chase and Hassan Pitts, USA, 2015, TRT 5'05"). CAT: Video Art
A meta-fiction by S/N (Chase & Pitts), first in a series of location-responsive performances. Questioning the sway of cognitive and relational impact that location implicates, the narrative is loosely based on creating a narrative within imagined environment-specific rituals. A fragmented representation of a rural family, the artists inhabit a reality not their own, in the interest of pinpointing the reflection space's reflection on identity. Shot primarily at Ox-Bow Artist Residency in Michigan, USA.
