Blasted
It's been called disgusting and grotesque... as well as tender, pure, and life-changing. The first play by Sarah Kane (4.48 Psychosis, Cleansed) about a dying, alcoholic journalist desperately trying to rekindle a relationship with his former lover caused a great deal of controversy when it originally debuted in London in 1995. It is one of the most influential and important pieces of 20th century drama and is rarely done in the United States. Now it comes to North Hollywood for a very limited engagement.
