GABRIELLE LOUISE & JUSTIN EVAN THOMPSON IN CONCERT AT THE OUTPOST PERFORMANCE SPACE ON NOVEMBER 8TH, 2015
ALBUQUERQUE, NM Appearing at Outpost Performance Space on Sun, November 8th at 7:00 pm are two outstanding and diverse songwriters, Gabrielle Louise & Justin Evan Thompson. Each artist will present a set of their original material, as well as sing a duet or two together. The evening will also serve as the CD release party for Justin's long awaited debut record, Hymns for a Manchild.
Gabrielle hails from the Mountains outside of Boulder, CO. Of Gabrielle's original music and performance David McGee, New York City music critic and previous editor for Rolling Stone, has said: "She executes a captivating balance of heartache and resolve." Since graduating Berklee College of Music in 2007, Gabrielle has toured extensively throughout the United States and released several records, the most recent of which is called The Bird in my Chest and is accompanied by a book of original short stories and poems. For this special performance Gabrielle be joined by Albuquerque's own Paul Hunton as a special guest on a couple of songs.
Justin Evan Thompson is a songwriter and performer from Albuquerque, New Mexico with an affinity for traditional folk music and the acoustic guitar. His persona and lyrics are as poetic as they are rough around the edges, and both lend themselves to honest and energetic performances. With an instinctive knack for melody and prose, Justin's songs are as singable as they are poignant. For this anticipated concert Justin will be celebrating the release of his debut solo record, Hymns for a Manchild, which has been carefully crafted over the last year at Empty House Studios here in Albuquerque. Justin's set will be backed by the same rockin' band (Gregg Daigle, Jon McMillan, Matthew Tobias) that played on the record. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
