Haunted Trails, a Natural Alternative Haunted House
Bastyr University's annual "Haunted Trails" is returning for another year of spooky fun! Hosted on Bastyr University's Kenmore campus the weekends of October 16-17 and 23-24, the event is one of the biggest scarefests in the area. It includes frightfully enjoyable activities for teenagers and adults, as well as trick-or-treating for children ages 8 and younger. And it's all for a good cause! All proceeds benefit student study-away programs.
EVENTS FOR AGES 8 AND OLDER:
Rain or shine, the event must go on!
-Haunted Trails: A Night at the Movies! This year's Haunted Trails is inspired by our favorite horror films! IT, the Ring, Sinister, Aliens, Hostel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and so many more, are reimagined in our woods and grounds.
Will you dare to join us in the Haunted Woods, where man-eating spiders lurk, terror climbs out of wells, and haunted movies come to life?
Hades Labyrinth: Terror haunts the students that have taken to the Hostel for their summer vacation! Classical horrors from devil worshipping socialites and space expeditions on distant planets are sure to keep you on your toes!
Cemetery Hill: Hungry? There's a Texas-style BBQ happening. Just ignore the sounds of the chainsawif you can!
Circus of Horrors: Clowns. Lots of clowns, under a big top. Is that laughter or screams?
Mummy's Tomb: Mummies are cool. Except when they arise and want to bring you back to the sarcophagus.
Please note: We do not allow children under 8 into these events and we strongly recommend that children under 10 do not attend. This event can be traumatizing to younger ones, which is NOT our intent. We only want to give the adults nightmares!
NEW in 2015! Friday Night Special! Children 8-12 will be welcomed into the Haunted Trails at half-price with purchase of a full-price adult ticket from 7-9pm only! (Only available on Friday Oct 16 & Oct 23!)
FASTPASS Tickets are back! (online only) For $25 you can book your tickets with a reserved time slot. Limited quantity available, so book your reservation now!
(Online ticketing is for fast pass only, if you would like to purchase general admission, please join us the day of event, ticket-sale starts at 6:30 pm.)
Cost: $20 in person for all five events; $25 Fast Pass are available online-only. Major credit cards accepted. Tickets available online and at the event starting at 6:30.
FOR CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OLD:
The Great Pumpkin's Trick-or-Treating Adventure: Bring the kids for trick-or-treating at Bastyr University's beautiful garden. Take pictures of the little ones as they get treats from and do activities with some of their favorite characters. Cost is $5 per child. (Runs 5-6:45 pm)
Children's Carnival: Entertain the younger children with various games and events just for them. Cost is dependent on activities. Cash only. (Runs 5:30-9 pm)
FOOD, GAGS AND MORE:
Fortune Telling: The Fortune Tellers are back this year to give you insight into your future, if you dare to see what's in store for you.
"Mad Hatter's" Concession Stand: Buy novelty items for the trail. Glow sticks and wands, flashing rings, t-shirts, hoodies, hats, rain ponchos, and more at our favorite spooky-and-scare store!
PARKING: Free event parking is available on the Bastyr University campus, 14500 Juanita Dr NE, Kenmore, WA 98028

Please Note: A limited number of tickets are sold each night. If you purchase tickets online, get to the event anytime during your reserved time slot, but preferably 15 minutes before your entry time.
If the online tickets are sold out, you can STILL PURCHASE TICKETS at the event.
The second weekend, October 23-24, of Haunted Trails is very busy and tickets can sell out as early as 8:45 pm. Visitors are advised to come the first weekend, Oct. 16-17, when lines are shorter. Also, the event is rain or shine, so no refunds are available. (*unless WE cancel due to weather/safety related events*)

DONATION:
Created in 1998, Bastyr University's Haunted Trails has grown in size and popularity each year. It now attracts thousands of guests from throughout the greater Seattle area. All proceeds support the University's study away programs, including the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine's annual study trip to China. The fundraiser is run entirely by dedicated volunteer teams of Bastyr University students, faculty, and staff.
