Band in Seattle live television taping with Katie Kate and Erik Blood
Come participate in the taping of the television/web program "Band in Seattle" with Katie Kate and Erik Blood - Friday, November 13, 2015, sponsored by Naked City Brewing and American Music. Each band will perform a 45 minute concert and participate in an interview as well as music trivia. Doors open at 6PM at Victory Studios, 2247 15th Avenue West between Queen Anne and Magnolia in Seattle. The show starts at 7PM and ends at approximately 10PM.
Katie Kate: Katie Kate is a force. A dark horse with an extensive classical background, she channels her quirky, emotive lyrics through the lenses of hip hop, new wave, black metal and top 40 while never fully belonging to any genre. She utilizes her skills as a multi-instrumentalist, electronic musician and composer to build towering pop castles, inhabited by witches and powered by electromagnetic buffalos. Her skills as a rapper are shocking, as a singer impressive, and as a producer unprecedented. Catchy, mesmerizing, dark yet playful, Katie Kate stands alone on the frontier of future pop.
Erik Blood: Erik Blood is a Seattle-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter. His production work and collaborations with some of the Northwest's favorite artists (TheeSatisfaction, Shabazz Palaces, Moondoggies, The Lights, The Turn-Ons among others) have garnered praise from music journalists and fans alike. In May 2009, Erik Blood released his first solo album "The Way We Live". The album debuted at number one on KEXP's variety chart and was hailed by The Stranger upon it's release: "Crafted with care and expertly produced, The Way We Live seems destined to attain pop-classic status."
