Flying High! With Scott Cooper! - 4 hours of Fun!
Come learn the basics of standing acrobatic flow with Scott Cooper in this 4 hour workshop. We'll work towards standing favorites with some cool new ways to get in and out of poses. This workshop will focus on building strength & stability for both base and flyer in standing acrobatic postures, followed by the addition of movement to the static poses. We will find ease & comfort at new heights, learning techniques to make these poses more about structure than strength. We'll put the pieces together to build a short standing flow that you can continue to practice and play with!
Prerequisites: Base or fly bird on hands. Hold handstand 30 seconds with assist. Side star.
November 8, Sunday 1pm - 5pm.
About Scott:
Scott Cooper is a certified AcroYoga teacher who has been practicing and teaching since 2011. Also a climbing and snowboarding coach, Scott's passion for the AcroYoga practice is driven primarily by the solar (acrobatic) side. AcroYoga became the portal through which he discovered and explored multiple branches of higher level circus acrobatics. Having studied Dutch style acrobatics, circus performance, dance lifts and cheer-leading, Scott believes in blending principles from all of these styles in order to create maximum versatility in partner movement. He is currently part of Acrosanct where he trains and performs circus arts under the tutelage of Master Chinese Acrobat Lu-Yi.
