If you've been anywhere near Chicago the last 15 years, you've probably seen my name on a flier at one point in time. I've been playing out since 1999, been lucky enough to travel all over the mid-west doing something I love, and sharing it with strangers just as much as friends and homies. One thing I will always carry with me is that I grew up where House music was born. I know my roots and pay homage to them as often as I can. That's why you'll catch me throw a track from the 80's or 90's in a set most of time. It's been my soul food for as long as I can remember. It's been with me for the darkest times in my life as well as the more positive ones I breathe this shit, it is my lifeblood. I play music, you dance, we all vibe TOGETHER. that's how it works. Besides being lucky enough to get to play music, I've spent a good amount of time running event production companies as well. I started El Cartel back in 2005, then again in 2010. We had a good run of successful events, but all good things must come to an end. After a brief hiatus from event production I started my next side project, The Throwback family in 2012. We are a group that consists of talented and motivated individuals that never forget our values of the old school scene, and try to instill that in the younger generations. I'm not going to hype myself up and name drop. I don't do this for fame or money. I do it to play house, I spread house, and if you will allow me I will take you on a journey that will get funky and you won't want to stop dancing. It's a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing.

Dj TankTop, a name that stuck due to a sunburn. He purchased his first set of turntables a little over 7 years ago, and has been in love with the craft ever since. He takes his music and performances very seriously, and strives to learn new techniques behind the decks and inside of the industry. The energy he brings to any booth or stage is in unique form - no gimmicks. Only pure passion and emotion are fueling his captivating sets.
Being well rounded in playing many genres makes him adaptable to most venues, events, and Dj booths..... Electro, Fidget, 4x4 Jack House/Bassline Drumstep,Dub Step, Drum and Bass, Trap, Trance, Tech House,House, and some older Techno and Progressive Trance are all his specialties. The music I spin is very high energy, and blended to create an elevated feel to grab the crowd, and keep them dancing and grooving the entire time of booth occupancy.
