Aaron Benward in Morro Bay
Aaron Benward comes from a long line of professional musicians. In 1991, Aaron graduated from high school and surprised his father when he told him that he wanted to follow in his footsteps in the music business. They went on to form the first ever father/son duo in CCM called Aaron Jeoffrey. They would go on to sell over 1 million records, have 10 #1 Billboard CCM singles and tour all over the world.
After a 10 year run with his father, Aaron then founded the country music duo Blue County. Blue County had a top 10 Billboard single called "Good Little Girls" and a top 20 Billboard country single that Aaron co-wrote called "That's Cool". They also received three CMA and ACM award nominations over a 5 year period for Duo of the Year and toured extensively with Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw. They were invited to be a two-time featured artist in the Chevrolet/Conde Naste Fashion Rocks campaign in People Magazine.
As a songwriter, Aaron wrote, produced and sang the theme song for Bravo's hit TV show "Project Runway", had numerous songs in ABC's "Nashville", co-wrote the #1 single for Latin star David Bisbal called "Me Derrumbo" and most recently had the end title for Walt Disney's film "Monkey Kingdom" performed by Atlantic recording artist and runner up on NBC's The Voice Jacquie Lee.
In 2013 and 2014, Aaron starred in 2 feature films where he portrayed an Army Ranger dealing with P.T.S.D. in "Acts of God" and was inspired by Waylon Jennings in his preparation for his portrayal of a 1970's country music outlaw in "The Song".
For 6 years running, Aaron has also produced and hosted a live show in Las Vegas every Friday night called "Nashville Unplugged". As made famous by ABC's "Nashville" and the Bluebird Café a songwriter in the round show features hit songwriters performing and telling the stories behind the hit song they have written.
