Untameable
There are things more important than love / Name them / Diamonds
Co-Produced by Highly Impractical Theatre and The Unsoft War, Untameable pits diamond heist against museum intrigue and tells the tale of two women, one trying to steal a jewel and the other trying to keep it safe. The work is an immersive romp between a criminal den and a modern museum; the audience navigates their own experience and much like the characters themselves, must decide between love and diamonds, honesty or victory.
Stealing this diamond is Nel's main magnum opus. Her other is falling in love. Which slightly complicates matters when her fiancée Cabel is running the exhibit of the diamond she's aiming to steal. Untameable is a tale of diamond-crossed lovers and of rescuing a stone and getting it back to its origin country. The action is played simultaneously in La Acadé, the theives' hideaway, and The MAFM, the museum showing the diamond, and is punctuated with dance sequences detailing the origin love story of the Boy Prince who originally owned the diamond and the Lady Queen who stole it from him many eons ago.
Untameable is an investigation into what we will do to achieve our magnum opus and what gets lost in the winning.
