Big River- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Dear Patrons,
Due to unforeseen circumstances Aubrey Benefield playing Huckleberry Finn was hospitalized with a collapsed lung and is scheduled for surgery. He is otherwise a healthy 17 year old and is expected to make a full recovery. Unfortunately we were unable to find a replacement actor two days prior to our expected preview opening.
We have rescheduled Big River for the next available dates at the Historic Biloxi Saenger Feb. 26-28th with a VIP preview performance Feb. 25th. Proceeds from the 25th will benefit the Historic Saenger. Funds will assist in preservation efforts and the purchase of needed equipment.
You may choose to receive a full refund from Brown Paper Tickets or once I can up-date the event information, you can simply forward the balance to the new dates. I hope this has not been an inconvenience in any way. If you have further questions you may contact Brown Paper tickets or myself directly on my cell 228-297-9974. Thank you for being our supporter. We look Forward to entertaining you in the future. Season tickets for 2016 are available at www.entertainmentcartel.net. The season includes A Chorus Line, Follies, and Jersey Boys.

Twain's timeless classic sweeps us down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom at the mouth of the Ohio River. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful and heartwarming, bringing to life your favorite characters from the novel-the Widow Douglas and her stern sister, Miss Watson; the uproarious King and Duke, who may or may not be as harmless as they seem; Huck's partner in crime, Tom Sawyer, and their rowdy gang of pals; Huck's drunken father, the sinister Pap Finn; the lovely Mary Jane Wilkes and her trusting family. Propelled by an award winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journey provides a brilliantly theatrical celebration of pure Americana. This musical provides excellent vocal and acting performances combined with set, costumes, and live music to capture this all-American story and its timeless themes about friendship, justice, and seeing right from wrong; even if society sees it otherwise.
