5TH ANNUAL RAGTIME EXTRAVAGANZA WITH THE RIVER RAISIN RAGTIME REVUE
Fast-paced and extremely fun, RAGTIME EXTRAVAGANZA brings together some of the finest ragtime and early jazz musicians for an evening of vaudeville and burlesque, all in Ann Arbor's beautifully restored 1928 Michigan Theater.

Joining the River Raisin Ragtime Revue 13-piece orchestra this year:

Paolo Alderighi and Stephanie Trick, piano duo. Paolo is one of Italy's leading jazz pianists and his wife Stephanie, formerly of St. Louis, is a rising star of stride piano. They'll blend humor and showmanship with impeccable technique and mature musicality.

Reginald R. Robinson is a MacArthur Fellow (the "Genius Award") from Chicago. He brings his stellar ragtime piano performance and compositions to Ann Arbor for this year's Extravaganza.

Top Hat Side Show, a leading vaudeville-style circus act will dazzle with death-defying feats and exciting magic. They'll also entertain before the show and at intermission in the theater lobby.

James Dapogny, ragtime and jazz pianist and bandleader is back with new arrangements for R4 and the dancers.

San (of Gemini), Emily and Jacob are a lovely folk trio utilizing guitar, violin, bass and vocals. They'll explore the Yiddish heritage of Tin Pan Alley.

Bianca Revels, a fantastic young tap dancer from Detroit, is the first tapper to make the Top 20 of the hit television series "So You Think You Can Dance." She has also appeared on television's  "Showtime at the Apollo."

Erin Morris and Her Ragdolls return with brand new choreography and unlimited pizzazz and vitality.

Lushes LaMoan, Detroit's hardest working showgirl, joins us for a couple of sultry burlesque numbers.

Alexandria, the Intuitive Tarot Reader will offer free fortune telling before the show and at intermission.

The Cake Walkin' Jass Band, Toledo's oldest New Orleans style jazz band, opens the show.

Master of Ceremonies is none other than Ann Arbor's revered radio personality, Arwulf Von Arwulf.

Please note that the Chenille Sisters have had to cancel their performance due to serous illness.
