RESPECT: A Musical Tribute to Aretha Franklin

SISTAWorks' 3rd Annual Benefit Concert is a musical tribute to the Queen of Soul! A fabulous line-up of all women, all New Orleans' most talented vocalists, musicians, and artists paying homage to Aretha Franklin and the music that became the soundtrack for the most important social movements of our time. The evening will include an opening reception, silent auction and musical interpretations of Aretha Franklin's work interspersed with a variety of other artistic performances.

This year's performers include a dynamic lineup of New Orleans female artists and musicians including:

* Tonya Boyd-Canon
* Erica Falls
* Tarriona "Tank" Ball (featuring Anjelika "Jelly" Joseph & Kayla Jasmine)
* Sharon Martin

. . . and the premiere gospel group - Shades of Praise

Also, Joy Clark, Jaz Butler, Wanda Woff, Lauren Sturm, Asia Rainey, along with the wonderfully gifted and talented Thea Bashful as MC and Blu Reine as Master of Ceremonies.

Patron Party from 6-7pm (Reserved & VIP Tickets)
General Admission performances from 7pm - 10pm

-Patron Party includes dinner reception sponsored by Boucherie - Contemporary Southern Cuisine and very special guest performances.

-General Admission includes complementary hors d'oeuvres by New Orleans' finest restaurants, silent auction, raffle and cash bar.

Proceeds benefit the SISTA Scholar Program to help girls from Ghana's rural northern areas complete their secondary school education (high school), as well as local programming to culturally enrich the educational experiences of adolescent girls in New Orleans.
