Lecture Description

With the presidential election just a year away, the campaigns are in full swing. The Iowa caucuses and the first primaries arrive just after the New Year with a string of contests to follow. Economic inequality is shaping up as a central issue. Candidates in both parties singling it out and offering their respective takes on what caused the gap and what policies should be pursued to close it. The Associated Press national political editor David Scott will discuss this and other topics that are defining the election as he offers an insider's view of the 2016 election and its candidates.
