Shades of Pink-Tie Gala
Please join us to take part in the Shades of Pink-Tie Gala, to support the Michael Christopher Moreau Family Fund at Tufts Medical Center slated for October 17, 2015 6:30 pm at The Great Hall at Union Station in Hartford, CT. Under the direction of Dr. John Erban, The Michael Christopher Moreau Family Fund will provide funding for breast cancer research and supportive programs for men and women experiencing a breast cancer diagnosis.
Michael Moreau is a long time restaurateur in the Hartford area, father and husband, and a man battling breast cancer. In other words, he is a very important person to many people, and by establishing the Michael Christopher Moreau Family Fund at Tufts Medical Center we hope to honor his fight, support others, and further the science to one day soon eradicate breast cancer.
Initially diagnosed in May of 2005, Michael has since experienced subsequent recurrences and continues to spar with this disease. Presently, while new treatments for recurring breast cancer have improved survival, in most instances, there is no cure. In light of the need for new therapies to treat breast cancer and programs to support both men and women experiencing a breast cancer diagnosis I ask you to "Think Pink" and help us to raise funds for the Michael Christopher Moreau Family Fund.
