Ayurveda for the Fall Season, with Jenny Jared
The practice of Asanas and Pranayamas fall under the greater Umbrella of Ayurveda, The Science of Life. According to Ayurveda, much like our "genetic code" we also have our own unique "energetic code", called our Dosha. The yoga we practice is meant to shift and change based on the balance of our Dosha and the flux of the seasons.
In this workshop, we'll explore our own "energetic codes" and how each of our bodies and minds are affected by the unique qualities of the fall season. We'll discuss groups of asanas and pranayamas that are beneficial for staying in balance in the fall, and those that are probably better to avoid. When we all walk out the door into the early fall, we'll have a deeper understanding of how our own bodies and the body of the earth are one, and that our Yoga practice can be a form of "moving medicine" to keep us in a state of internal unity.
