Songs My Mother Taught Me
Melissa E. Driscol is a Cabaret artist, performing in Manhattan for over 12 years. 'Songs My Mother Taught Me' is a true story based on Melissa's mother, Jeddie Driscol who recently lost both of her legs and is a survivor of being an amputee. Jeddie was a dancer, singer, pianist, director and choreographer for over 30 years. She taught Melissa her first song and was her accompanist for all of her college auditions. They share a gift of friendship as well as the bond of Mother and Daughter through music. In this show, Melissa brings to life some of their most fun and hilarious times of growing up and surviving all of the challenges of life. Accompanied by Robby Stamper and Directed by Susan Campanaro, featuring music by Stephen Sondheim, Jule Styne, Comden and Green, Cole Porter, Maria Gentile, Robby Stamper and many more. A fun, light, heartfelt evening of stories through song. This is Melissa's best work yet!
