JB Taylor Concert
Award winning guitarist Jordan Taylor will be performing at the First Congregational Church in Kalamazoo, MI. Jordan is a four time prize winner of the Classical Minds International Guitar Institute and Competition as well as prize winner at The Music Academy of North Carolina Guitar Festival and Competition and the University of Southern Mississippi Guitar Competition and finalist at the Southern Guitar Festival International Guitar Competition.
His first international appearance was in 2010 Madrid, Spain where he was a featured soloist in a six concert tour through Madrid. This included performances in Madrids Ateneo theater, Calatravas Cathedral, and the Nicolas Salmerón Culture Center. This tour was sponsored by the 2010 ChamberArt Music Festival.
Recently Jordan was award the Roberson Fund for International Studies in Africa from the University of Louisville to travel to Ghana to develop the platform for a collaborative music festival between the United States and Ghana. This festival would not only promote artistic developement in Ghana's youth but would also be the first collaboration in music the two countries have ever had. The current touring season takes Jordan through the United State's Southern states, Europe, and Africa. For more information go to JB's website.
