Share the Harvest
Slow Food Upstate and Clemson ARTS Center are thrilled to co-host a Share the Harvest dinner featuring Red Devon beef and beer pairings from Carolina Bauernhaus Ale. Bring a side dish or dessert to share from your garden, a local farmers' market, or your favorite local food preparer.
Red Devon cattle are on the Slow Food Ark of Taste; we are fortunate to have them grown locally at Walker Century Farm in Anderson county. Nancy Walker is also a member of the board for Slow Food Upstate.
Carolina Bauernhaus Ale is a "nanobrewery" in Anderson, which specializes in ales brewed with locally captured yeast and aged in wooden barrels from a local distillery. We will be sampling beers specifically paired with items from our dinner. We will also hear from David Thornton, one of the partners of Carolina Bauernhaus Ale and SouthYeast Labs.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the grants program of Slow Food Upstate and programming at the Clemson ARTS Center.
