L.A. Casting Director Cathy Reinking
"How can you stand out from all the other actors we come in contact with? It comes from within, by revealing your own unique and natural charisma. We see it today on the popular voice and dance competition TV shows; the judges are yearning to see each performer shine and reveal their authentic self and natural charisma. This is what makes a casting director, producer, and director attracted and emotionally moved by you, which is what needs to happen so you will get hired. We can't just like you, we have to LOVE you." -- Cathy Reinking

The Emerging FIlmmakers Project, EFPTalks, and The Film Acting Academy of Denver are proud to bring L.A. Casting Director Cathy Reinking to Denver for a full day workshop on Saturday, October 24th

In this all day ON-CAMERA workshop, Cathy will do the following:

- Provide you with exercises that will help you deepen
self-knowledge and define your natural charisma
- Help you refine both your comic and dramatic personas
- Provide material for you to prepare prior to workshop
- Watch and analyze your videos, providing practical tips to
help improve your work
- Provide feedback on your marketing materials and demo reels

Cathy will be available to answer any and all of the questions you have about acting and the Industry.

Cathy Reinking has been working as a Casting Director in Hollywood since the early '90s, working on two Emmy-winning shows "Frasier" and "Arrested Development" along with many, many, MANY other shows, pilots, films, web series, commercials, plays - you name the genre, she has cast it. She also served as NBC's Manager of Casting when "The Office" was created, and she holds a degree in theatre arts from UCLA, where she graduated magna cum laude.

She is returning to Denver, where she was a talent agent, casting director, and acting coach from 2005-2009.

The second edition of her book, "How To Book Acting Jobs in TV and Film: The Truth About the Acting Industry - Conversations with a Veteran Hollywood Casting Director," is available on Amazon and iTunes. Not only does it give you an inside track on the casting process for projects big and small along with helpful tips on how to get "discovered," it discusses charisma and how to enhance your own when you walk into that audition room.
