About the Workshop Leader

Madison Beehler is the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Dickinson College Farm. She graduated from Dickinson in the spring of 2015 with a degree in Environmental Science. The Dickinson College Farm helped her connect her passions for food, health and community during her time as a student at Dickinson. Now she enjoys sharing that passion through farm-based education programs like SEED. In her free time, she loves to cook, preserve and ferment food. She also enjoys running and hiking. She is very excited to work with the SEED program this fall, first as an educator then as a mentor for the Dickinson student coordinator.

About the College Farm Sustainable Earth Education Program (SEED)

An interactive educational program that explores how nourishing food moves from seed to soil to our tables and inspires children to care for the earth! Hosted by the Dickinson College Farm.

It is asked that cancellations be given at least 24 hours before each event so that wait list members can be notified of openings.

Parents are welcome to participate, observe, take a self-guided tour of the farm, relax in the shade or take a short drive into beautiful Boiling Springs. At the end of the program, children are invited to show parents what they've learned around the farm.
