Filastine + Nova
Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona based audiovisual artist Filastine teams up with Javanese indy songstress Nova to deliver the grittiest transnational bass music. Low frequency pressure collides with top notch beat science. Prefix mag calls it "the prototype of globalized urban sound", Pitchfork describes it as "awesome and delicate...hybrids so fluent they defy classification". Their live performance features a heap of electronics, tightly synced visuals, drums and a shopping cart.
Nova grew up singing pentecostal spirituals with her preacher grandfather, koranic recitations in the mosque, and javanese gamelan music in school. She was half of the Indonesian rap sensation Twin Sista, and has been collaborating with Filastine since 2010.
This will be their Portland debut of the 4RRAY, a four-sceen audiovisual performance using bespoke software that allows the artist to trigger and manipulate video live in sync with music.
SOOHAN
Baltimore, MD
SOOHAN Debut album "Made In Baltimore" made a giant splash, becoming an immediate internet sensation, garnering over 250,000 plays in four short months. The widespread popularity of the album earned him a slew of press coverage, with features on major outlets such as The Untz, Your EDM, and ThisSongSlaps, multiple opportunities to collaborate with well-established producers, and a main stage set at the notorious Emissions West Coast Bass Festival. He was signed to Re:Evolution Booking Agency, home to renowned acts like Desert Dwellers and David Starfire. We're stoked to be the first to bring this growing talent to Portland.
Living Light

Living Light blends dub grooves with world percussion, psychedelic glitches, middle eastern melodies, soothing electronic harmonies and deep pulsing baselines. Living Light's first full length album "Ecliptic Visions" was released on Desert Trax to an overwhelming response in November 2013, holding steady as Beatport's #1 Dub/Reggae release for 3 weeks straight, and landing at #2 and #3 in Beatport's Chillout and Electronica charts. Living Light shows no signs of stopping any time soon with brand new releases on Desert Trax and Merkaba Music currently rolling out!

Tickets ~ Discounted online tickets will be available until Saturday at 6pm, here: http://goo.gl/Gtoc9V. We will have tickets at the door all night for $25.
Alcohol ~ We just got word from Refuge that we will not be able to sell alcohol at the event. So, we decided to serve it to you for FREE in the beginning of the night smile emoticon Doors will be open at 8:45 for our complimentary Living Prism art opening gala portion, which will take place during TAKIMBA's set (8:45-10:10). We will process your tickets after that, for legal reasons.
If you wish to drink in the rest of the night - we will have a separate entrance for quick re-entrys, so you can leave at any time for drinks. The awesome brewery across the street, Hair of the Dog, will be serving beer and wine until 11pm. There are many other bars in the area, including Montage (3 blocks away) and Dig A Pony (4 blocks away) that operate till 2am or later. Refuge will serve coconut water, various kombucha flavors, juices, chilled yerba matte, sodas & energy drinks. If you drink alcohol during night, please do it safely and have a designated driver.We want to support our good friends at Refuge through their liquor process. Thank you for your patience & understanding.
Parking ~ We recommend carpooling and not leaving any valuables in sight. If needed, there is a $5 all-night fenced parking lot adjacent to the building.
