Comedy for a Cause - Benefiting Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters!
Come and enjoy a night of stand up and improv comedy, raffles and great beer featuring the area's top talent at City Steam Cafe's Brew HaHa Comedy Club. All proceeds from the event will benefit Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters (NBBBS) and help further its mission of providing children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Here's some info on our line-up:
The Sticks
All 12 members of The Sticks are from sticksville, East Hampton CT. Most have been friends for 30+ years and they have been performing plays, skits, musicals, sketches, marriages and miracles together since the early 80s when Hall & Oates ran the country! They specialize in long form improv and most often perform a thing called "The Harold" in their own way. Feel the history! Feel the love! Feel the agedness! The Sticks. Absurdly suburban comedy improv.
Sea Tea Improv
Sea Tea Improv is a professional improv comedy company whose members have trained at the country's premiere comedy schools, including the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Second City, ImprovBoston, and more. Since 2009,
Sea Tea Improv has dazzled Connecticut and beyond with its interactive shows, customized comedy, and on-the-spot interpretations of audience suggestions. Their studio is located in Downtown Hartford at 75 Pratt St.
Carolyn Paine
Carolyn Paine is a comedian, dancer, and actress. In addition to being able to spot her on tv and online in several commercials and series, you can catch her regularly around CT on The Nose with Colin McEnroe on WNPR and she is a regular host and comedian at Foxwoods Casino. Additionally, she is the founder and director of CONNetic Dance, famous for The Nutcracker Suite & Spicy- her fun, reinvented version of the holiday classic.
Join us for Happy Hour before the show and have an opportunity to win some awesome raffle prizes! A Full menu and Bar will be available throughout the majority of the show with table service available.

Happy Hour: 5:30 to 6:30 PM
Show: 6:30 to 8 PM
