B&K HOOPZ Charity Basketball Game
B&K HOOPZ and the Marvin Thomas Memorial Foundation are partnering to host a charity basketball game at Edmonds Community College to benefit Seattle Children's Hospital and the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit.
The game will feature former professional sports stars, local celebrities and media personalities, with proceeds benefiting both Seattle Children's Hospital and the Marvin Thomas Memorial Foundation. There will also be a silent auction featuring autographed memorabilia from Seattle sports teams, among many other exciting items. Come join us for an evening of fun entertainment, and raise money for crucial services in our community.
B&K HOOPZ sponsors The Norwest Collegiate Summer League, which is the only NCAA sanctioned summer basketball league in the region. Cliff Brown and Marvena Kemp founded the league in 2007, and through this unique opportunity, provide college and high school players the ability to showcase their skills.
The Marvin Thomas Memorial Foundation, a 501 3(c) nonprofit organization, aims to provide positive, supportive and safe programs for children through educational opportunities focused in nutrition, academics and athletics.
Last year, Children's saw more than 368,000 patients, and provided over $120 million in uncompensated care for those in need. To ensure that more children receive the mental health care they need and deserve, the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit provides medical services and participates in education, advocacy and prevention efforts.
