Water by the Spoonful @ ACT's The Costume Shop
Dirty Hands presents WATER BY THE SPOONFUL by Quiara Alegria Hudes
@ A.C.T.'s The Costume Shop 1117 Market Street, San Francisco
September 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, & 18th 8pm curtain, Free Admission for All
Water by the Spoonful is Quiara Alegria Hudes' cacophonous aria about our essential need to find a family. As a Puerto Rican household rocked by memories of the Iraq War collides with an online community of recovering addicts, they strive to rebuild a whole collection of lives touched by trauma and abandonment. Dirty Hands is a new Bay Area producing ensemble who will present the SF Premiere of this Pulitzer winner in the intimacy of A.C.T.'s Costume Shop on Market Street.
In an effort to provide maximum accessibility to diverse communities in San Francisco, Dirty Hands has elected to welcome all audiences for Water by the Spoonful with no cost admission! This initiative has been made possible by support from our generous individual donors.
A limited number of tickets for each performance can be reserved online through Brown Paper Tickets, and the remaining tickets will be distributed to walk ups at the door starting 30 minutes before each performance.
Featuring Anthony Agresti, Emily Alvarado, Caleb Cabrera, Anna Maria Luera, Ehsaan Taeb, Sango Tajima, Rhonnie Washington
