Forgotten Chicago Near South Side Bike Tour
Join Forgotten Chicago by bike as we explore historic and ever-evolving communities on the South Side. Offered for the first time in more than four years, we will explore many little-noticed parts of Chicago that are seldom included in public tours. Not everything covered on the tour will be "historic" however, as we will also examine the dynamic ways in which these neighborhoods are changing, including new businesses and landmarks.
This bike tour will examine industrial and political landmarks, architectural curiosities, and the continuing evolution of the Near South Side. Including the dynamic neighborhoods of Chinatown, Bridgeport, McKinley Park, and others, we will explore overlooked architecture and landmarks in these fascinating communities. The Stockyards and Canaryville will be toured and discussed, as well as the first industrial park in the nation.
