Farm to Fork: A Benefit Dinner of Columbia River Chinook salmon with local vegetables, nuts and fruits in support of our programs at the charming Jeans Urban Forest Farm in SE Portland.
You're invited to celebrate our first harvest season together at Jeans Farm and help support many more to come.
Gate opens at 5:30pm. Farm tours at 6 Sit-down dinner at 6:30 Official Menu: ~Freshly caught Columbia River Chinook Salmon ~Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes ~Savory Squash soup with hazelnut cream ~Salt-rubbed kale with figs and balsamic vinegar ~Apple Crisp with hazelnut crust ~Local wine & beer
This event supports the continued non-profit work of the Institute of Permaculture Education for Children and Mother Earth School. IPEC hosts weekly seasonal farm visits to children from public schools and facilitates trainings for teachers. Mother Earth School runs an on-site farm-based 1st-3rd grade and summer nature camps.
Mother Earth School will host a silent auction in support of its farm-based education programs.
$40 per person. Local beer and wine included. THIS IS A 21+ EVENT.
RESTRICTED ACCESS: Jeans Farm does not have on-site parking. Visitors must street-park on 36th, 40th or other area side streets. Entrance gate located at 3707 SE Johnson Creek Blvd., located between 36th and 40th. Accommodations for alter-abled guests by arrangement only.
