We are so thrilled that you are joining us 'Farewell My Friend: The Romance of Romeo and Juliet'. Please read the following information as this is not a traditional performance. The show begins promptly at 8:00pm there is NO LATE ADMITTANCE for the show so please arrive on time. Street parking can be difficult so we recommend allowing extra time or taking the CTA. Our location is conveniently located near the Berwyn Red Line stop. Epworth United Methodist Church 5253 N Kenmore Ave Chicago, IL - you can find a handy map on our website: http://rediscovertheatre.com/location/ You are in for special adventure tonight! The show runs about 1 hour 15 minutes with no intermission. You will be walking from room to room and standing for much of the show. We suggest wearing comfortable footwear so you can keep up with the actors and enjoy being up close to the action. There a small set of stairs that are used several times during the show and a full set of stairs used once. If you need any assistance with stairs please let us know and we will be more than happy to be of help. When you arrive to the space fate will decide if you follow Romeo or Juliet through the story. Often this means you and the friends you arrive with may end up on different tracks. If there is a specific circumstance that requires you to stay with a specific person, please do let us know. Farewell My Friend: The Romance of Romeo and Juliet is (re)discover theatre's new adaptation of Shakespeare's infamous work. This production allows the audience to submerge themselves in an immersive, promenade experience that travels throughout multiple rooms. Upon entering audience members are fated to follow either Romeo or Juliet through the rollercoaster of Shakespeare's story. Follow along as these doom- fated characters draw you through a story that is equally driven by text and movement creating a meld of physical and verbal story telling. Inches from these star-crossed lovers you can feel how their story resonates through time and transcends language.
