Jyotisha, often referred to as Vedic Astrology, translated from Sanskrit as "Lord of Light", is a systematic method of examining and interpreting karma. Through the study of an individual's life, as inferred though the patterns of planets present at the time birth, the practitioner of Jyotisha, aims to help the individual shed light on the various dimensions and phases of their life, especially those aspects which are less apparent, in order offer solutions to live with greater clarity, self knowledge and radiance.
Whether you are looking to attract or heal a relationship, determine and pursue your creative or professional calling, or make sense of your past. Jyotisha offers tried and true guidance and revelation in order to make healthy and informed decisions about your future.
In this weekend you will learn about:
-Astrological Basics: essential information on the fundamental building blocks of JyotishThe influence and personalities of Planets, Constellations, Houses, Benefics and Malefics, etc. and how these act as tools to elucidate karma.
-Types and manifestations of karma and how a birth chart helps us to unfold what is potentiated in the "unseen realms" of our lives.
-Time cycle analysis. How to utilize a pre-eminent 120-year sequential method to invoke the "timing" into your life experiences. This is the dynamic quality of astrology. Marriage forthcoming? Baby on the way? An opportunity to travel abroad? Let us fine tune with this analysis marker to the "when."
-How to interpret life's underlying factors in the hidden/unrequited/shadowy aspects of our psyche.
-How planets can combine to form meaningful gestalts or "yogas" to offer exaggerated/enhanced experiences in the life (wealth/fortune/fame). Often a useful tool, for example, in examining career path or financial investments.
-How to see what are the prime motivations and drives of a person. Does security and stability cement your every move? Abhimanyu dasa (Aaron Annis) brings his eclectic background of education and travel experiences to the study of Vedic Astrology that has literally been a "trip around the world". Upon completion of a pre-med program at the University of Illinois, he served as an educator in the US Peace Corps Namibia, Southern Africa. He then traveled to India and devoted himself to studies in Vaishnavism and Bhakti-Yoga at the Vrindavana Institute of Higher Education, where he also began to take further interest in Ayurveda and its affiliate limb of astrology, Jyotisha. Post-India, he completed studies in Chinese Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, where he currently holds a full-time practice. ?Committed to deepening and expanding his knowledge of Vedic Astrology and Palmistry since 2005 under the formal tutelage of renowned author and jyotishi, Hart de Fouw, Abhimanyu continues to mentor under him and his senior students.
