Frederick Holmes and Company Present Jean Marc Calvet: Transcending Myth and Madness
Frederick Holmes and Company- Gallery of Modern & Contemporary Art and Nordo's Culinarium are proud to present a night honoring French artist Jean Marc Calvet.
"Looking at Jean Marc Calvet's paintings allows you to experience an explosive visual arts experience and glimpse the depths of his soul from the safety of the other side of the canvas"-Bob Hogge, Monkdogz Urban Art Gallery.
Nordo's Culinarium will host the introduction to the evening with a Nicaraguan and French inspired dinner and wine pairing highlighting Calvet's French roots and adoptive home of Nicaragua.
The evening will continue with an exclusive, private screening of CALVET, the award-winning documentary of the incredible life story of the artist and his journey as a painter, that's earned critical praise at dozens of international film festivals.
Produced and Directed by Dominic Allan, the film has received enthusiastic praise as "Powerful, riveting, inspiring...an emotional roller coaster"- David Gritten, Daily Telegraph UK.
At the conclusion of the documentary, we will make a quick walk around the corner to the gallery for an exclusive preview of the exhibition, JEAN MARC CALVET: TRANSCENDING MYTH AND MADNESS and Q&A with the artist.
All ticket prices will be credited toward the purchase of Calvet Paintings. In addition, a portion of these gallery sales of Calvet works will be donated to Cafe Nordo, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization!
