The Judgment of Paris
The show, which includes music and dance, is a one-hour poem by Peter Bruckner read by two narrators, professional actors Melissa Amilani and Jameson Lisak. The music was written by Philadelphia composer Monique Canniere and choreographed by Jenna Silva, who will be one of the three dancers performing in the show. Amilani will also play the roles of the three goddesses; Lisak will also play the part of Paris.
Bruckner's story is about the poignant, fateful moment when the young Paris, exiled Prince of Troy, is asked by Hermes on behalf of the Greek Gods of Olympus, to choose between the goddesses Hera, Athena and Aphrodite, who offer him either power, knowledge, or love. It is the result of his choice that ignites the Trojan War.
Look for three dramatic and original dance pieces composed and choreographed specifically for this show, which will run on the 290-seat main stage Oct. 2, 3 & 4, 2015.
