Though the practice of dentistry is largely straightforward, there are potential traps that can lead to claims of malpractice. Through case studies, these potential traps will be presented, highlighting holes that can be plugged to prevent claims. Each area in a practice clinical, communication, and documentation-- must be appropriately addressed by both dentists and staff to ensure the practice runs in a safe manner. Attendees will learn simple steps to make their practice safer for their patients and for themselves.
