Women Who Loved Lincoln
On Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. the play "Women Who Loved Lincoln" will be performed. It is a different take on the life of our 16th President Abraham Lincoln. The play looks at the women who influenced the development of his character from birth to his death. Some surprises are included in the play from the death of Ann Rutledge until his marriage to Mary Todd of Kentucky in 1842. The author of the play, Dr. Lynn Steveson of Anna, said, 'I also discovered his love of music during my research and have incorporated it into the script.' For the most part, this is a "lighter" look at Mr. Lincoln. The play will also be performed September 19 at 7:30 p.m. and September 20 at 3 p.m. Call Lee's cell at 904-625-1109 for reservations at $15 per ticket.
