Triskelion Arts Presents a shared evening of new work by Mei Yamanaka Works & elephant JANE dance

Choreographer Mei Yamanaka, in close collaboration with musician, Ai Isshiki, shares a new work that resides within the medium of found timbre. Sound will be generated from both live and pre-recorded sources. Within this manufactured aural landscape, what might it mean to reside within the idea of "task"? And what relationships or stories might evolve from such colliding worlds?
elephant JANE dance premieres Leslie choreographed by Heidi Henderson with dancers Karl Rogers, Christina Jane Robson and Edward Rice. The movement is about continually processing particular delicate, non-hierarchical actions; each movement as important as the next. The work is exact without being virtuosic. It is quiet, reductive, wry. There is no grandness. There is no message. The task is abstract but the attention to the task is personal and tactile. We care.
