Brown County Art Colony Weekend Villagescape Plein Air Paint Out
As part of the revival of the Brown County Art Colony Weekend, the Brown County Art Guild invites you to participate in our Villagescape Plein Air paint out. The entry fee is $10 for Brown County Art Guild members and $15 for nonmembers. Prizes include $1,000 for First Place, $500 for Second Place, $250 for Third Place, and $125 for an Honorable Mention. Get creative and find something that inspires you in the Village of Nashville!
Registration fees include a group breakfast with the Nashville Villagescape Plein Air painters at the Artists Colony Inn and entry into the paint out. Breakfast is from 7:30-8:30 and the paint out will begin afterwards.
Official rules:
-All painting media are eligible.
-Open to painters 14 years of age and older.
-Paintings must be created between the hours of 8:30 am and 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015.
-Painters may enter up to three paintings.
-Canvases may be toned ahead of time.
-Canvases will be stamped between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 am during final registration at the Artists Colony Inn. Registration fee includes a buffet breakfast with other artists at the Artists Colony Inn.
-Paintings will be exhibited for sale in the Brown County Art Guild from 2:00-4:00 pm during the Closing Reception for the Brown County Art Colony Weekend.
-Participants are responsible for transporting their works to the Guild by 2:00 pm for judging, exhibit and possible sale.
-Artists are asked to contribute 30% of their sale receipts to support the Guild, its programs and services. The Guild will handle all painting sales during the event.
-Unsold works should be removed from the Guild at 4:00 pm.
