Nu-Blu Concert at the Harrington Opera House
On Saturday, August 29th, Nu-Blu will bring their lively and entertaining version of Americana-bluegrass music from their home base of Siler City, NC to the Harrington Opera House in Harrington WA. Tickets are $15 for the 7 pm performance. Influences range from the sounds of original bluegrass pioneers like Earl Scruggs, Jimmy Martin and Lester Flatt to rock bands of the 1980's, and modern contemporary sounds such as Alison Krauss and Union Station. The group consists of Carolyn Routh, who handles bass and vocals; Levi Austin on vocals and banjo; Austin Koerner, who plays mandolin; and Daniel Routh, who is the band's Renaissance Man guitarist, singer, manager, and tour coordinator.Proceeds after expenses benefits continuing rehabilitation of the historic 1904 Harrington Opera House.
