Dàimh
Dàimh, pronounced 'dive' and meaning 'kinship' in Scots Gaelic, after becoming long-established favorites at festivals in Ireland, Scotland and across Europe, comes to the West Coast of America for the first time celebrating the release of the five-piece's fifth CD, 'Tuneship,' A multiple nominee by the Scots Trad Music Awards as 'Band of the Year,' Dàimh have been hailed in Irish Music Magazine as 'One of the most exhilarating bands on the Celtic map.' Their sound is as spacious and ruggedly beautiful as their native Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Incandescent instrumentals are played with power and passion on Highland pipes, uilleann pipes, fiddle, whistles, guitar, mandolin and banjo alternate with heart-achingly poignant songs sung in the Scots Gaelic. Come and step into the ring and take a Dàimh; you're sure to be knocked out by them. For more, visit www.daimh.net.
